1. About this policy

TATVANVESHI (తత్వాన్వేషి), available at tatvanveshi.in and through its Android application, provides devotional information, Panchangam and calendar features, and Deeksha/pilgrimage planning. This policy describes how information may be collected, used, stored and shared when you use these services.

2. Information involved

• Sign-in and identity: Google account identity details made available for sign-in, which may include your account identifier, name, email address and profile photo.
• Profile: Details you voluntarily enter, such as display name, optional phone number, location/city, preferred language or favorite deity. Some profile photos may be stored only on your device.
• Deeksha and Yatra groups: Group membership, names, roles, phone/contact details where supplied, dates, travel and darshan arrangements, requests and approvals, booking-related information and group records, depending on the features you use.
• User submissions: Text, songs, devotional content, descriptions, optional links and moderation/approval status of content you choose to submit.
• Device or service data: Browser/device information, IP address and diagnostic or security logs may be processed by hosting, identity and cloud providers to operate and protect the service.
• On-device data: Some favorites, reading preferences, personal Panchangam/birth details and saved settings may be kept locally in your browser or device, depending on the feature, and may not synchronize to the cloud.

3. Why this information is used

We use relevant information to authenticate users; operate profiles and cloud synchronization; manage authorized group membership, bookings, roles and coordination; review user submissions; maintain security; investigate errors; and respond to support, privacy or deletion requests.

4. Sharing and service providers

Some group information is visible to approved group members, owners or authorized organizers according to the app's access controls. A person who submits information to a group should avoid sharing details that other approved participants do not need. Certain booking contacts and private records are intended for restricted roles.

The service uses third-party infrastructure and features that may process limited information as necessary, including Google Sign-In/Firebase for authentication and cloud data, and Cloudflare for website delivery and related hosting services. Opening external YouTube or map links may subject you to those providers' independent privacy practices.

We do not offer your personal information for sale. If advertising or additional analytics functionality is enabled in a future release, this policy and any necessary consent or disclosures should be updated to reflect the actual technologies used.

5. Security and storage

We use transport encryption (HTTPS) where supported and access restrictions designed to limit cloud records to appropriate users and roles. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please do not share passwords, verification codes, or unnecessarily sensitive details in group content.

6. Retention and deletion

Information is retained as needed to operate the service, meet legitimate operational or legal requirements, or resolve disputes. A user may request deletion of their app account and associated eligible personal information. Following verification, we review and process requests, including relevant Google/Firebase account records and application records where applicable. Some group transaction history may need to be anonymized or retained where legitimately necessary; we will explain any such exception. Removing the app from your device does not by itself remove cloud data.

7. Your choices

You may choose whether to provide optional profile fields or participate in groups. You can request access, correction or deletion of personal information by contacting us. Settings and data saved only on the device can generally be removed using that device/browser's storage controls.

8. Children and public content
